Navakerala is a community project initiated by Mrs and Mr Priyadas, Directors of Guidsoft Pvt Ltd.
It aims at transforming Kerala. The methodology is to adopt a village and empower the women.

The first instance of the project is taking place in Chennilode Village, the backyard of Trivandrum Medical College. There are five hundred families in the village. Two hundred and thirty six are below poverty line.

In 1998 Mrs and Mr Priyadas put up an office in the village to uplift the people below the poverty line. Majority of these women are illiterate and uneducated. The men have only odd jobs and they look for any means for making money. The women and children as in any weak society are always at the receiving end as the village is the hub of anti social activities.

This social entrepreneurship gives training, counselling and jobs to generate an income for their subsistence. Many women are employed as domestic helpers, bystanders etc. Some women entrepreneurs are given financial and business assistance. Healthcare is given due importance in the village. Infrastructure facilities for the village are provided from time to time.A full time office is set up in the village to manage and monitor the activities.

Mrs Jessy Priyadas leads the humanitarian activies in the village spending four to five hours daily. The fund for this Village Adoption Project is provided by Guildsoft.
